Richmond, VA is a city of breweries and craft beer culture. So much of our city's creative culture and social scene are intertwined with our breweries. As these special places have all been affected by the pandemic, I wanted to showcase their uniqueness in a way separate from drinking. This original illustration of Richmond, Virginia's staple breweries was drawn with pencil, painted with watercolor, then drawn again with fountain pen. The print features some of the most distinguished places to enjoy artisan beer within Richmond. This print has about a small border of white in case one wanted to frame it without any additional matting. This would make a great gift for someone who loves Richmond, for one who once lived in or once visited Richmond. I largely made this at the request of my fellow craft beer nerds.

THE PROCESS

About your new illustration

Mad Kitchen Co.'s works are all orginally illustrated by hand using watercolor and pen. Madison puts her heart and soul into each illustration, fully immersing herself in each location and hoping to capture the essence of the community.
