I was inspired to create this as the second in a series of illustrations during the spread of Covid-19. Richmond, VA is a city of restaurant culture and a community of unique small businesses. As these restaurants have all been affected by the pandemic, I wanted to pay homage to their humbleness and their stories.

This 11" x 8.5" print of Richmond, Virginia's staples was drawn with pencil, painted with watercolor, then drawn again with fountain pen. The print features some of the most distinguished, timeless and underrated restaurants of Richmond.

This print has about a 1" border of white which leaves it perfect for framing. It is printed on matte, poster-grade paper. It does not contain a watermark on the front.

This would make a great gift for someone who loves Richmond, for one who once lived in Richmond or a fan of these restaurants.

About your new illustration

Mad Kitchen Co.'s works are all orginally illustrated by hand using watercolor and pen. Madison puts her heart and soul into each illustration, fully immersing herself in each location and hoping to capture the essence of the community.
